About
PARTE Portugal Art Encounters is a yearly and continued program that aims to support the internationalization of the Contemporary Art field in Portugal. Reinforcing the historical relationship between Art and Tourism, PARTE seeks to affirm Portugal as a reference destination in the art circuit.
The program consists of two consecutive circuits, the PARTE Circuits, which will culminate with the international event PARTE Summit and the launch of the publication PARTE Book.
PARTE is produced by the company Flamingo Circuit, developed with the main sponsorship of Visit Portugal, and supported by the Ministry of Culture / Directorate-General for the Arts, within the scope of the Portuguese Network of Contemporary Art (RPAC).
Parte Circuits
PARTE Circuits is an action focused on the recognition of the Portuguese artistic ecosystem.
Each year, the project brings together curators, cultural programmers, directors of major institutions, and international art events, inviting them to enjoy a curated selection of Portugal’s offers in the fields of artistic production, hospitality, and natural and cultural heritage.
Curated by Vicente Todolí and Isabel Carlos, the first edition took place from July 24 to August 7, 2022, and was developed into two consecutive circuits – PARTE Circuit July and PARTE Circuit August –, with activities in localities from all of Portugal’s five continental regions.
