Sílvia Escórcio

Sílvia Escórcio (Machico, 1977). Communication Curator. Created in 2014 and continues practical research in Curatorial Communication (CUCO), a communication discipline specialized in the arts, which aims to advance the knowledge generated by artistic activity, acting in its mediation and promotion in societies. In the scope of CUCO it collaborates with artists, curators, for galleries, museums and artistic projects, among which stand out: Official Representation of Portugal at the 58th Venice Biennale; program The Art and its Publics - ARCOlisboa/CML; Forum of the Future - ÁGORA/CMP; Alkantara Festival; Hangar - Center for Artistic Research; and Walk&Talk Festival of Arts. She holds a degree in Advertising and Marketing (ESCS/IPL), a postgraduate degree in Communication and Image (IADE), completed a course in Communication Design (Aula do Risco) and attended the Master of Curatorial Studies (FBAUL/Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian).
