PARTE Summit is an international event that brings together some of the most prominent thinkers in the contemporary art field. It convenes different knowledge and people interested in following artistic practices in relation to the transformation of territories and societies.&nbsp;The program includes lectures, round table discussions, and performances in response to questions previously raised by the invited curators. Based on these questions, multidisciplinary panels bring together artists, authors, and other thinkers to rehearse answers or give continuity to common questions.&nbsp;PARTE Summit'22 took place on two consecutive Saturdays and in two full-day sessions in different regions of the country, on July 30, at Convento São Francisco in Coimbra, and August 6, 2022, at Cineteatro Louletano in Loulé.

PARTE Summit '22

<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://portugalartencounters.com/en/book">PARTE Book</a> was launched on the 30th of July, in the Coimbra session of the PARTE Summit’22,&nbsp;and is one of the activities that are developed within the scope of the PARTE Portugal Art Encounters.&nbsp;&nbsp;This new publication-guide aims to support Art Tourism in Portugal, inviting to (re)discover the country through its museums, galleries, independent art spaces, and Contemporary Art events.&nbsp;The book combines a comprehensive mapping of the artistic structures in Portugal, with the publication of authorial contributions, which contextualize and reflect on artistic practices in the local and international panorama. It complements, as a relevant and up-to-date editorial tool, the PARTE's program mission of supporting the internationalization of the Contemporary Art system in Portugal.&nbsp;“In dialogue” was the motto defined by the guest editor, Ricardo Ramos Gonçalves, for the creation of this first PARTE Book, with a bilingual edition, in English and Portuguese, and 370 pages organized into two parts. The first gathers essays of the curators Delfim Sardo, Margarida Mendes, Neringa Bumblienė, and Vincenzo de Bellis, the researcher and poet Raquel Lima, the artists Odete and João Pedro Vale &amp; Nuno Alexandre Ferreira, and interviews with the curators Isabel Carlos and Vicente Todolí.&nbsp;The second area of ​​the book is dedicated to the Guide that maps and promotes knowledge about artistic and cultural structures in the different regions of the country, including the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira. The creation of this guide intends to motivate and accompany new trips and travellers, regardless of the knowledge that each reader holds about the Portuguese territory and artistic practices.&nbsp;The PARTE Book has a cover price of 40 euros and will soon be available in a network of selected bookstores and stores. O <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://portugalartencounters.com/book">PARTE Book</a> foi lançado a 30 de julho, na sessão de Coimbra da PARTE Summit’22, e constitui umas das atividades que são desenvolvidas no âmbito do PARTE Portugal Art Encounters.&nbsp;&nbsp;Trata-se de uma publicação-guia que pretende apoiar o Turismo de Arte em Portugal, convidando à (re)descoberta do País através dos seus museus, galerias, espaços independentes e eventos de Arte Contemporânea.&nbsp;&nbsp;O livro combina um mapeamento compreensivo das estruturas artísticas existentes no País, com a publicação de contributos autorais inéditos, que contextualizam e refletem sobre as práticas artísticas no panorama nacional e internacional. The circuits integrate reserved and professional activities that combine networking and knowledge sharing with artists and agents with moments of leisure and discovery of the excellence of hospitality, gastronomy, and regional cultures. The research journeys culminate with the international art encounter PARTE Summit and the launch of the first edition of PARTE Book, a guide for Art Tourism in Portugal.&nbsp;PARTE Summit is an international event that brings together some of the most prominent thinkers in the contemporary art field. PARTE: Portugal’s research program and art summit

Turismo de Portugal &nbsp;| &nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="http://www.turismodeportugal.pt/pt/Noticias/Paginas/portugal-art-encounters-apresentado-hoje-no-ccb.aspx">Read article &gt;</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;The Portugal Art Encounters (PARTE) project, which is supported by Turismo de Portugal, was presented today in the Fernando Pessoa Room at Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon. The session was attended by the Minister of Culture, Graça Fonseca, the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques, and the President of Turismo de Portugal, Luís Araújo.&nbsp;Developed by the company Flamingo Circuit and also supported by the Ministry of Culture / DG-Arts, this project aims to promote the internationalization of Portugal as a reference destination in the Contemporary Art circuit, reinforcing the country's tourist attractiveness and competitiveness in international markets. Its goal is to qualify and differentiate the destination associated with the exclusive, knowledgeable, aspirational, and avant-garde universe of art, promoting the empowerment and internationalization of the Portuguese art system. The program is organized around two circuits, especially designed to promote the circulation through the country of international professionals who, each year, stand out in the global art scene - curators, critics, directors of art institutions, events, and biennials of reference - and who are the major influencers in the spheres of art and the choices of art tourists.&nbsp;The intrinsically global, captivating, exclusive, aspirational, knowledgeable and avant-garde character that defines the Universe of Contemporary Art, allows it to attract a more qualified tourism with greater purchasing power. Therefore, the program offers its guests memorable and premium experiences - a "selection of the best that Portugal has to offer" in terms of Contemporary Art, hospitality, historical and natural heritage.
