Isabel Carlos is curator and art critic. Isabel Carlos has held several prominent positions, including advisor for the exhibition area of Lisboa'94 - European Capital of Culture. She was co-founder and sub-director of the Institute of Contemporary Art, under the Ministry of Culture (1996-2001), having organized, among other activities, the Portuguese representations at the Venice Biennale (2001) and the São Paulo Biennale (1996 and 1998). She was a member of the juries of the Venice Biennale (2003) and the Turner Prize (2010), among others, and artistic director of the Sydney Biennale (2004), curator of the Portuguese Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2005) and the 9th Sharjah Biennale, United Arab Emirates (2009). She was also director of CAM - Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation from 2009 to 2015.

Isabel Carlos é curadora e crítica de arte e tem ocupado diversos cargos de destaque, incluindo o de assessora para a área de exposições de Lisboa’94 – Capital Europeia da Cultura. Foi co-fundadora e subdiretora do Instituto de Arte Contemporânea, tutelado pelo Ministério da Cultura (1996-2001), tendo organizado, entre outras atividades, as representações portuguesas na Bienal de Veneza (2001) e na Bienal de São Paulo (1996 e 1998). Foi membro dos júris da Bienal de Veneza (2003) e do Turner Prize (2010), entre outros, e diretora artística da Bienal de Sidney (2004), curadora do Pavilhão de Portugal na Bienal de Veneza (2005) e da 9.a Bienal de Sharjah, nos Emirados Árabes Unidos (2009). Foi diretora do CAM - Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian de 2009 a 2015.

PARTE Summit is an international event that brings together some of the most prominent thinkers in the contemporary art field. It convenes different knowledge and people interested in following artistic practices in relation to the transformation of territories and societies.&nbsp;The program includes lectures, round table discussions, and performances in response to questions previously raised by the invited curators. Based on these questions, multidisciplinary panels bring together artists, authors, and other thinkers to rehearse answers or give continuity to common questions.&nbsp;PARTE Summit'22 took place on two consecutive Saturdays and in two full-day sessions in different regions of the country, on July 30, at Convento São Francisco in Coimbra, and August 6, 2022, at Cineteatro Louletano in Loulé.
